Why Writing About Super Bowl Ads is Absurd
When an advertisement runs on television, the volume automatically increases. I don’t know how corporations get away with this little trick, but it’s been a standard practice for many years. I don’t know why it’s necessary, either. Advertisers already have a captive audience: people who have tuned in to a particular program, and who are not going to get up and walk away in the middle of it....
